Practice
Dickson Architects is an established London architectural practice led by Paul and Emma Dickson. We design new buildings, extensions and refurbishments across commercial, residential, retail and education projects.
We work with developers, building owners, businesses and private clients, providing architectural design services from initial feasibility and client briefing through to design development and delivery, tailored to the agreed scope of each appointment.
Our work combines creative design thinking with a practical understanding of existing buildings, construction and our clients’ commercial requirements. We approach each project collaboratively, with Paul and Emma directly involved throughout the commission.
Alongside our architectural design work, we provide architectural design guardian and advisory services, helping clients review developing proposals against their brief and agreed design intent.

People
Paul Dickson
Director
BSc BArch (HONS) RIBA
Paul brings experience across commercial, retail, residential and education projects, combining creative design with a practical understanding of buildings and project delivery.
Before establishing Dickson Architects, he was a partner at Garnett + Partners, responsible for the commercial portfolio. His experience includes the redevelopment of 1–5 Lower George Street in Richmond and student accommodation for the University of East London while at Fraser Brown MacKenna.
Paul graduated with honours from the University of Dundee, receiving several design awards, including the Dundee Council Civic Award. He is also a registered RIBA design tutor and a school governor, bringing an additional perspective on design education and the needs of school communities.
Emma Dickson
Director

Emma brings extensive experience in residential architecture, including contemporary homes, warehouse conversions and the refurbishment of Grade II listed properties.
Her previous work includes projects for private clients and the Grosvenor Estate at Charles Brice Ltd, residential schemes at Tasou Associates, and a performing arts and music school at Dunthorne Parker Architects.
Emma studied architecture at the University of Dundee and completed her Diploma in Architecture at Oxford Brookes University.
Francisca Santos

Fran has experience across residential and commercial projects in the UK and Portugal, including Whole Foods Market stores and commercial fit-outs.
She completed her Master’s degree in Architecture at the University of Bath before moving to London to develop her career.
Mike van de Vliet
Consultant Architect
Mike brings experience in retail architecture, including Whole Foods Market stores, alongside a strong understanding of branding and how it translates into physical spaces. As a consultant architect, he contributes a perspective that connects architectural design with brand identity and the customer experience.
